Our roasting partner out of Mariposa, California still practices a time-honored, human-involved process that is worth every painstaking step.

Sourcing the finest Arabica beans from sustainable growers around the world, our small-town roasting partner brings out the absolute best in them with their slow, air-roasting process that is more like an art form than just a means to an end. After each small batch is roasted to perfection, the beans are hand-spun in perforated metal drums, then personally inspected and transferred into large antique mason jars for some time to remove any excess moisture. They are then opened up and sifted again before going back into clean, air-tight jars to continue to develop those smooth, deep flavor notes you rave about. We are pretty sure you've never experienced a roast like this!
